Delete your Langu account
You can delete your account at any time, either from within the app or by contacting us.
Starts immediately
From the app
- Open Langu on your device.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap "Delete Account".
- Follow the on-screen confirmation steps.
Deletion starts as soon as you confirm and covers your profile, phone number, contacts, language data, push token, and Langu-side billing records. It completes within 30 days, including residual copies in our backups. See the table below for the full picture.

If you no longer have access to the app
- Email support@languchat.com with the subject Delete my Langu account.
- Include the phone number associated with your account.
- We will delete your data within 30 days of receiving your request.
What happens to your data

| Photos, voice recordings, and profile picture you uploaded | Permanently deleted from our servers — including media attached to messages that stay in an archived chat |
| Copies on other people's devices | Retained — messages and recordings already delivered are stored in their app and cannot be removed by us |
| Deletion audit record | Retained — deletion timestamps plus a one-way hash of your phone number (not the number itself), as proof the deletion was carried out |
| AI processing cost records | Retained for accounting with your user and chat identifiers removed — they no longer identify you |
| Payment records held by Stripe, Apple, and Google | Retained by those providers under their own policies and legal obligations |
Everything marked deleted above is removed within 30 days of your request, including residual copies held in our backups. Removal from our storage runs as a background job that is retried until it succeeds, so it is not always instantaneous.
