Delete your Langu account
You can delete your account at any time, either from within the app or by contacting us.
From the app
- Open Langu on your device.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap "Delete Account".
- Follow the on-screen confirmation steps.
After the server accepts your confirmation, access is removed promptly and deletion continues in the background. Covered data is erased by the date shown in the app, within a single 30-day maximum that includes residual backup copies. We send one completion SMS when the tracked erasure finishes. If you no longer have access to the app
- Email support@languchat.com with the subject Delete my Langu account.
- Include the phone number associated with your account.
- We will delete the covered data held by Langu within 30 days of receiving your request.
Delete an individual message
- Open the conversation containing the message.
- Press and hold a message you sent.
- Choose "Delete for everyone" and confirm. This option is available for 48 hours after sending.
The server replaces the message with a deleted-message placeholder for all participants and removes linked derived text. Residual backup copies are removed within 30 days. "Delete for me" only removes the copy stored on your device; it does not delete the server copy.

The request becomes irreversible after verification and runs in the background. Access is removed promptly, and covered Langu records, media, temporary notification contact data, and residual backup copies are handled within the single 30-day maximum shown by the app. Retries do not restart or extend that deadline. We protect your verified phone number temporarily only to send one completion SMS, then remove that temporary contact data within the same deadline.
